External Rubber Waterstop, also called of back stick rubber waterstop, is mounted on the wet side of a concrete structure. This type of rubber waterstop protects the joints against ingress of mud or any other substance. This type of rubber waterstop also installed in structures where s double tightness system is desired, e.g nulcear power plants or at ramps to motorway tunnels. This type of waterstop is only recommended in open structure as tunnel roofs where air can be trapped within the joint. According to the structure, external rubber waterstop can be classified into with center tube type(EB) and without center tube type(EP). Compared with internal rubber waterstop, external rubber waterstop only has ribs on one side.
